You may walk through Tiananmen Square built in 1415 which is a large city square in the centre of Beijing, China, named after the Tiananmen gate (Gate of Heavenly Peace) located to its North, separating it from the Forbidden City. It is well known as the focal point of the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989.Other places of visit include Temple of Heaven, Beihai Park, Acrobatic show etc. in various packages.

Temple of Heaven is a medieval complex of religious buildings situated in the southeastern part of central Beijing. It was occupied by the Anglo-French Alliance during the Second Opium War. UNESCO describes it as "a masterpiece of architecture and landscape design which simply and graphically illustrates a cosmogony of great importance for the evolution of one of the world's great civilizations..." as the "symbolic layout and design of the Temple of Heaven had a profound influence on architecture and planning in the Far East over many centuries."

Jinshanling is a section of the Great Wall of China located in the mountainous area in Luanping County, 125 km northeast of Beijing. This section of the wall is connected with the Simatai section to the east. Some distance to the west lies the Mutianyu section. It is 10.5 km long with 5 passes, 67 towers and 3 beacon towers. Some of you will really like the trekking there. It looks very beautiful & attractive. Evenings are most enjoyable there.

For our great & spiritual lovers the package most suitable may be Buddhist Temple (Lama Temple, Fayuan temple), Confucian temple, Niujie Mosque. Fayuan Temple is situated in the southwest quarter of central Beijing. It is one of the city's most renowned Buddhist temples. It is very beautiful temple built in 645 during the Tang Dynasty by Emperor Li Shimin, and later rebuilt in the Zhengtong Period (1436–1449) of the Ming Dynasty. The temple occupies an area of 6,700 square meters. Beautiful structures include sculptures of ancient bronzes, stone lions, as well as gilded figures of the three Buddhas-Vairochana. The temple also features large number of Buddhist texts from the Ming and Qing dynasties. Main buildings there include the Gate of Temple, Heavenly King Hall, Main Hall, Hall of Great Compassion, Sutra Hall, and Bell and Drum Towers.

Confucian temple was established in 479 BC, one year after Confucius's death. Occupying 32 acres of land, The Confucian Temple is the largest extant traditional architectural complex in Tianjin.It was first built in 996 during the Liao Dynasty and was reconstructed as well as enlarged under the Kangxi Emperor. The Niujie Mosque is located in the Niujie area of Beijing's Xicheng District, the spiritual centre for the 10,000 Muslims living in the vicinity and it is the biggest and oldest one in Beijing. Xicheng District, where the mosque is located, is the largest area inhabited by Muslims in Beijing.

The origins of the Summer Palace date back to the Jurchen-led Jin dynasty in 1153.It are a vast ensemble of lakes, gardens and palaces in Beijing. It covers an expanse of 2.9 square kilometres (1.1 sq mi), three-quarters of which is water. Longevity Hill is about 60 meters (200 feet) high and has many buildings positioned in sequence. The central Kunming Lake, covering 2.2 square kilometers (540 acres), was entirely man-made and the excavated soil was used to build Longevity Hill. Some of you may enjoy boating in Summer Palace.

Other important places for walking & trekking include lama temple, The temple of heaven, Olympic park, 798 art zone, Simatai West etc. Simatai, a section of the Great Wall of China is located in the north of Miyun County, 120 km northeast of Beijing, holds the access to Gubeikou, a strategic pass in the eastern part of the Great Wall. Simatai Great Wall is 5.4 km long with 35 beacon towers. Professor Luo Zhewen, has said "The Great Wall is the best of the Chinese buildings, and Simatai is the best of the Great Wall."

Olympic Park is a sports campus for hosting the Olympic Games. Typically it contains the Olympic Stadium and the International Broadcast Centre. The 1908 Olympic organizing committee specified "As far as possible all the competitions, including swimming, archery, fencing, wrestling, &c., will be held on the same site in which the amphitheatre for the track-athletics and cycling will be erected."

798 Art Zone (pinyin) or Dashanzi Art District, is a group of 50-year-old decommissioned military factory buildings with unique architectural style. Located in Dashanzi, Chaoyang District of Beijing, it houses a thriving artistic community.
