Itinerary:

In the morning, your guide will meet you in the lobby of your hotel at 8:30 AM. You will then take a 2-hour drive to the Mutianyu Great Wall, known for its stunning scenery, fewer tourists, and beautifully restored architecture. To save time, we will use a round-trip cable car (or a ski lift and toboggan) to take you to the Great Wall, allowing you to avoid climbing more than 800 steps. Once you arrive at the Great Wall, you will have approximately 2 hours to hike along the wall. You can choose to take the toboggan or the chairlift when you are ready to go back down.

After visiting the Mutianyu Great Wall, we will stop for lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we will visit the Summer Palace. Located about 12 kilometers northwest of the city center, the Summer Palace is one of Beijing’s top attractions and is as famous as the Forbidden City. Known as “Yiheyuan” in Chinese, it is the best-preserved and most extensive imperial garden in China.

You will be dropped off at your hotel after the visit to the Great Wall at approximately 5 PM.

This tour lasts approximately 8 to 9 hours. We will ensure you have ample time to see the most important sights and plenty of opportunities for photo stops. If you would like to spend more time at certain locations, please contact me for a customized tour service.

Which restaurant do you choose for lunch?
We have several restaurants on our list which are well-selected by us. You will eat like a local and not a tourist. We will choose it according to the time and your preference. It also has many vegetarian options. We make sure the restaurants are clean and delicious. If you have another choice, please feel free to let us know.

What is the tipping or gratuities policy?
Our guides always appreciate tips, but they are never expected. You should consider giving a tip if you feel that your guide has done an outstanding job and want to express your appreciation for their efforts. Typically, our clients give between 50 and 100 RMB per person.

1. Our car/van contains an unlimited supply of bottled water that needs to be transported.

2. We don’t visit tourist shops or factories, as we don’t want to waste our valuable time.
